I got some things done around the house that I’ve put off for a while, so that was nice. I made these earrings last week but never posted them.

I used rhinestone encrusted turquoise (not sure if that’s the material or just the color) beads with vintage class diamonds and Austrian crystals. The rhinestone circled rounds were in Candie Cooper‘s 25 Beads of Christmas from Nostalgica. So cute!
Today, I got a bunch of stuff done in my studio in the way of cleaning and organizing. Two very exciting things are the final organizing of my seed bead drawer that I’ve been working on for a while over time.

It was so difficult to find what I needed and get things put away, because all the seed beads were just in their little bags or tubes all thrown together in this drawer that had a sea of beads at the bottoms from things that had come open. I decided to finish it in one fell swoop. I cleaned out the entire draw, one tube and bag at a time, deciding if I wanted to keep it or give it away. (This is the third large batch or seed beads I’m including in a bag of things for St. Vincent’s.) Then I decided on several categories of like items. I separated each thing, put them in piles, and made labels. It’s wonderful! I had to scoop out all the mixed beads at the bottom of the drawer before putting these in. That label maker is one of the best things I ever bought!
I also cleared and organized enough other things that there is a nice path through the studio. I had a long way to go, but it was a good days’ work.
